About Thomas
Play More, Play Better
My story started around 2003 at The Kaospilots - an alternative leadership and business school - where I discovered a deep passion for the forces that drive creativity, change, and transformation in teams and organizations.
For the next 15 years, I explored this from different angles. I worked at INDEX, a non-profit that promotes design and innovation to improve people's lives. I joined NORD, a multidisciplinary design practice focusing on architecture and urban development. At Hyper Island, I helped create transformative learning experiences at the intersection of leadership and technology. I co-founded a non-profit, Social Lab, focusing on social innovation and entrepreneurship. I also studied for a Master's in Cultural and Creative Leadership at Portsmouth University.
In 2008 I opened my own shop. Drawing from several areas and disciplines, dedicated to keeping it simple and always being 'work in progress,' I believe I have found a way (not the way). It works for me and allows me to serve leaders seeking to transform their organisations.
It starts with a need or desire to improve or fix something within the organisation. While working on this, I bring approaches and perspectives that rekindle the inherent creativity and the willingness to change and transform together.
I'm hard to box in, but so are the areas I work with. When my 5-year-old daughter asks what I do, I tell her I'm like a kindergarten teacher helping grown-ups play more and play better.
